My Favourite Table: Actress Anna Friel at the Pigalle Club
David [Thewlis, the actor] and I live in Windsor with our 16-month-old daughter, Gracie, or at least we do when we're not travelling for work - we've been to nine countries in the last year. Eating at home is important for us, because we eat out so much when we're away. Every morning we all have porridge for breakfast, with blueberries for the antioxidants, and Manuka honey (that's also great for spots -just dab it on and they heal up).

60 Seconds: David Thewlis
David Thewlis broke into film with a disturbing role in Mike Leigh's "Naked". Before that, he worked in TV shows such as "A Bit Of A Do". He appeared in "Kingdom Of Heaven" and "Basic Instinct 2", and plays Professor Lupin in the Harry Potter films. His long-term partner is actress Anna Friel, with whom he has a daughter. His latest film, a remake of "The Omen", is out now on DVD.

For the role of Jennings, Moore turned to British actor, David Thewlis, who first gained notice for his stunning, raw performance in the indie hit "Naked." At the story’s beginning, Jennings, a professional photographer who’s looking for the "million-dollar" shot, is on the sidelines. When Damien’s nanny hangs herself at his birthday party, Jennings is pulled into Robert Thorn’s life. "What Jennings begins to put together is all very unsettling to him," says Williamson. "It’s almost like he thinks himself a little mad. But when Jennings meets Thorn and is presented with mounting proof of a growing terror, Jennings becomes the voice of reason."

My Weird, Surreal Life Before Anna
At the age of 42, David Thewlis has become unexpectedly rather attractive. Unlike his screen persona - he often plays nervous, edgy types - he seems relaxed and laid back. He sits on a sofa at the Dorchester hotel, casually dressed and sporting an interesting set of jewellery - a silver necklace which has talismans hanging from the chain and silver rings that draw attention to his immensely long, slender fingers. I thought he'd be more manic, like he was in Mike Leigh's 1993 film "Naked", the movie that made him a star.

David Thewlis was filming Mike Leigh's "Naked" when Sharon Stone - and her uncrossed legs - was catapaulted to fame by "Basic Instinct". While she was branded a 'kinky seductress' for the Nineties thriller, Thewlis won Best Actor at Cannes for his depiction of the tortured antihero Johnny, a role he gave his life over to as he spent more of his waking hours improvising than playing himself.
