Layout Alternatives

At the request of Tannim, I have wrriten up a thread/guide to help you choose and implement a style on the forums. The Thewlis Rox forum now allows for different 'styles' or 'layouts' for your viewing pleasure so you can customize (to some extent) the look of the board once you log in. Your choices are limited to the ones the Administrators install, and you personally cannot change them the looks of the layouts themselves, but you can choose from the options they make available to you

Currently, Thewlis Rox has 3 available styles/layouts for you to use.

To change a layout, follow the below steps:

- Log in to your account
- Once you are logged in, click on User Control Panel (usually on the upper right hand side of the forum).
- When you are at your control panel, look at the menu on the left hand side. Click on the option Board Preferences.
- In the center, you will see a list of various options. Scroll down until you see the option My Board Style. It will be a drop down menu. Click this menu, and it will show you the names of all available styles.
- Click on the style you want, then scroll down and hit the Submit button.
- A message will pop up saying Your preferences have been updated. The forum will change to look like your new style when you either refresh the page, or click a link to return to a different part of the forum.
- When you log out, the forum will appear in its default setting. To view the forum in the style you chose, you must be logged in.

Below are the names of the current styles can select:

- 4poziumSEO_blue (white/grey forum with green accents, using the header image from the Version 2 forum)
- prosilver (the style the board came with when it was installed. Blues and greys with the phpBB logo.)
- xand (the current default layout which you see when you arrive at the forums logged out. White with orange accents and header image.)
