SITE ANNOUNCEMENT

I wanted to leave a brief message to site visitors who are curious about the halt of activity on 'The David Thewlis Network'. We have not received news, photographs, or word of David's career or whereabouts in quite some time, this has definitely been our lengthiest drought for site updates. No cause for alarm, as soon as we receive word on new projects or appearances, we will definitely resume operation. We love you all (and David), thank you for your patience and concerned emails!

Thank you Hiimashley! There has been further confirmation of David's involvement in this film (articles posted yesterday) from further sources, safe to say this project is a go!

Tilda Swinton and David Thewlis joining The Zero Theorem
Tilda Swinton and David Thewlis have joined the cast of upcoming sci-fi film 'The Zero Theorem', which will be director Terry Gilliam's first movie since 2009's 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'.

Tilda Swinton and David Thewlis have joined the cast of 'The Zero Theorem'.
The actors are set to star in the upcoming sci-fi film, which will be 71-year-old director Terry Gilliam's first feature since 2009's 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus', Indiewire reports.

Although little information has been released, a brief synopsis of the film has been revealed, which states: ''An eccentric and reclusive computer genius plagued with existential angst works on a mysterious project aimed at discovering the purpose of existence - or the lack thereof - once and for all.''

Christoph Waltz is to play the computer genius and director Terry has revealed that unlike many of his other hits this film will be set largely in just one location.
He explained: ''The main character is literally living in this burnt-out chapel which one could take as a metaphor for old beliefs and old systems.

''He's a computer genius but he's just sitting there waiting for a phone call, which he's hoping will give meaning to his life.

''It really is about relationships, and discovering what's really important in life ... two-thirds of it - if not more - take place in a ruined chapel.''

Terry gave fans a sneak preview of the ruined chapel set on his Facebook page.
The 36-day shoot kicks off on October 22.[/i]

Site Announcement: Due to a high volume of hot-linking and images from our gallery being re-posted without proper credit (to photographers, original sources, and this website) or permission, the gallery from today onward will display only thumbnails of all uploads until the entire gallery is watermarked (all 7000+) photos. It will be quite an effort to re-upload the entire gallery and may take our staff up to a year before any images can be viewed as full-size again, but we have requested for years that anyone who borrows images from our gallery to properly credit the original source (we provide the source in the gallery, including the agency and photographer for your convenience to do so).

Many of these re-posters include Tumblr users, Facebook registers, and unofficial fan pages - all we ask is that you credit our site as your original resource and list those originally responsible (photographer and agency) when re-posting, and please upload to your own hosting service (photobucket for example) as it costs me quite a lot of personal funds to continue adding memory to the site.

When this project is completed, all gallery images (7000+) will appear as such from now on (photographer and agency and submitter will have their credit posted in the gallery captions) if you would like to own the original image you may screen cap films/tv appearances personally, contact the agency/photographer of origin and pay for the images (as we have).

Example of image appearance after gallery is re-opened in 2013-2014:

'Seven Arts Entertainment' recently announced that both Anjelica Huston and David Thewlis will be portraying the roles of 'Lady Astair' and 'Count Zurov' in the motion picture adaption of "The Winter Queen" which is based on the international best-selling novel by Boris Akunin and and will be directed by Fedor Bonderchuk.

Synopsis: "The Winter Queen" tells the story of intrepid young police detective Erast Fandorin and a mystery that begins with the suicides of several wealthy young men throughout 1886 Russia and ends in an extensive plot for global domination. Fandorin's naïve wit and the suave yet volatile Count Zurov are his only protection from the ever more elaborate attempts on his life as he follows the conspiracy from Russia to England and back again; navigating unknown worlds with charm if not with ease. The enigmatic femme fatale Amalia seems to be somehow at the center of it all, but can the saintly British aristocrat Lady Astair, founder of a string of orphanages which have greatly benefited from the wills of the affluent dead men, really be trusted?

Fans may discuss this exciting new project in the discussion boards and keep up-to-date on the production using our film database.
