She describes her character (Briony) a little. From the sounds of it, they're keeping her just as insane and mad as she is in the novel.

Her character certainly sounds crazy (sorta reminds me very slightly of her character in Niagra Motel).

You can find out for yourself when I mail you a copy of the novel this weekend.

William Monahan’s feature film directorial debut London Boulevard starts shooting today in London.

Monahan, who won an Oscar for his script for The Departed, has also written the screenplay for the film.

The London-based crime drama is produced by Academy Award winner Graham King (The Departed) under his GK Films banner alongside Monahan, former MGM executive Quentin Curtis and Tim Headington.

The cast includes Keira Knightley, Colin Farrell, David Thewlis, Anna Friel, Ben Chaplin and Ray Winstone.

Based on the best selling book by Ken Bruen, London Boulevard is the story of a London criminal, newly released from prison, who becomes involved with a reclusive young actress.

Colin Vaines and Redmond Morris are executive producers, while Chris Menges is director of photography.

Shooting ended on Friday (14.08.09) and the cast and crew had their wrap party at The Lonsdale in London's Notting Hill district.

Just realized - since it has Colin Farrel, there might be a chance they will have it in the bigger cinemas here
