Deathly Hallows Part II premiere meet up!

I understand some people around here are willing to attend the premiere of Part II next year, so maybe it's time we starting planning that! I'm really willing to attend the premiere, and Tessa (Yaron) and I had been discussing this earlier this year.

But I've never attended something this big! The biggest thing I ever did was waiting in line for a U2 concert, but that isn't as nearly as big as this event will be! We need people with experience about this sort of queueing and of course, it would be awesome to make it a DTN meet-up!

First off all, does anyone know when the premiere is? XD Might be the most important thing to know... maybe... On the webs it says july 15th, but I suppose the grand premiere will be a few days earlier?

Important note: You -have- to be over 18 years to attend this meeting, because hotels/hostels don't allow underaged guests! Unless you can get your parents so mad to join you, I'm afraid you won't be able to attend this meeting. Unless you are from the UK of course and you are willing to travel to and from London.

Going on some prems that have been The Karate Kid one was a few weeks ago & it don't open for the public today so it might be best to find out the dates & work round the dates

Hey everyone - moved this to the Online board.

I've spoken to Tannim about this and we've both decided not to attend this event. Although we are working with Warner Bros. on promoting both parts of the film and will likely receive an invite to the premiere, we're not quite up for it.

Tannim is already going to England twice this year and my husband and I are going to Italy in July for our long-awaited honeymoon.

You all can plan this trip amongst yourselves over PM - but since Tannim and I have decided to cancel Site trips altogether this year after our final trip in January.

So as Jen & Amanda will not be attending who wants to be in charge of the meet up I.E where to meet up & stuff like that as Im more an Anna fan I would not put myself forward as head person but will help out if needed as I know London a little bit

I think it'd be best if Aimee and I took care of this. Aimee already offered me to help so I think we'll be teaming up to make sure everything will go alright

The premiere will occur before the film is released. There will be a US and UK premiere, and both will be only days apart from each other. Each release there is a debate whether the World Premiere will take place in England or the US first (and fans in the US bicker over if it is in New York or Los Angeles) - virtually we will not know the solid date of the premiere probably a week or two prior (there are also last minute constant changes, such as location, cast appearances, etc. based on all sorts of circumstances) Remember when David was supposed to attend the premiere last year and his attendance was retracted the day of?

Tannim and I will receive notification on dates and times officially from Warner Bros. to pass along to you all (as we did with ComicCon) - take caution on speculation until Warner Bros. CONFIRMS all dates, locations, and cast appearances.

Okay, so we can't set a date yet. Then I think the best thing to do is all safe money like crazy, in case your travel-type will charge extra costs for last minute booking.

Karina - do you want to travel with Janine, Tessa and I? We will be using the coach from Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam, Breda, Brussels, Calais, Dover, London. If you came to Holland the day before, I could pick you up at Arnhem or Nijmegen with the train. I heard there is a good connection from there to Germany. You live near Duisberg, right?

Furthermore, I'd like to stay at the Bayswater Hostel again. I enjoyed staying there last time, and the rates were okay IMHO. They were about 15 pounds per night and 18 in the weekends.

Ha, great! I don't know how much it will cost you to travel from your hometown to London, but from where I live, it's about 60 euros for a two way ticket, when you use the coach. Flying is so much more expensive and you get to take less bags!

Yeah or maybe two so we can rest first before the premiere itself is.
