When you find an icon or a piece of fan art that you like, please don't just take it and upload it somewhere else as your own. Even if it's just an icon, it takes time and effort for the people to create those things.
It's generally considered polite and proper form to give credit and to ask permission before using someone else's creations. If you are unable to ask the creator's permission, then credit them by stating who made that icon/manip/etc. was made by. If that person has awebsite for their creations, take a moment to provide a link.
If you take someone's graphic and turn it into an icon, you should still give them credit for the original work.
These simple steps apply not only to Thewlis Rox, but to anywhere you would find icons/art/etc. I know that personally, I don't enjoy going to a site and finding out that my creations are being used without permission, or at least credit. It's frustrating for the creator and is often the cause of people no longer sharing their creations.
When borrowing things from forums like screen caps, it's fine to just give credit to that forum itself. Screen caps are generally shared so everyone can enjoy them, and people can easily just follow the link and see who provided which items.
