Ifans Wants Thewlis in Every Movie
The two stars have recently shot three films together, including "Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows", and now Ifans wants Thewlis to be a part of every movie he makes.

The "Notting Hill" star says, "He is one of my favourite actors. He is slightly older than me; I grew up watching (classic British film) "Naked" and I'm just a big David Thewlis fan. I love the place he acts from.

"We did "Mr. Nice" together and then of course we did Harry Potter together and now we're about to do "Anonymous" together. It's the Rhys and David show this year. I need Thewlis in all my movies because we get on really, really well."

25 FEBRUARY 2010 - Anonymous (2010)

For weeks we've been anticipating word of David's mysterious upcoming project that he was eager to take on in Berlin. Details of this endeavor were released today, David will be portraying 'William Cecil' in Anonymous, also starring Vanessa Redgrave and Rhys Ifans.

"Anonymous" tackles the thorny theory that's circulated for the past 100 years that Shakespeare’s plays were, in fact, written by Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford. The director divulged his cast of Elizabeth types when we caught up with him.

Roland Emmerich (director of 2012) will be leading the production and says of his upcoming film; “It’s a mix of a lot of things: it’s an historical thriller because it’s about who will succeed Queen Elizabeth and the struggle of the people who want to have a hand in it. It’s the Tudors on one side and the Cecils on the other, and in between [the two] is the Queen. Through that story we tell how the plays written by the Earl of Oxford ended up labelled 'William Shakespeare'.”

Filming is scheduled to take place in Berlin (Germany) during March of 2010.

12 JANUARY 2010 - Heading Home from London

First and foremost, congratulations and well-done to the entire cast of Breakfast at Tiffany's for a fantastic run and final performance. Our group gave them a well-deserved standing ovation and we wish them all the very best in the future. Hoping at the moment, Anna is having a relaxing rest at home with her family before her next projects begin production.

We all had a wonderful time together, and it was brilliant to re-unite with all the members of Anna Friel's Official Website and enjoy a great evening. For the first time, the entire Site staff (myself, Dave, and Tannim) and fellow members of 'Thewlis Rox' were altogether for an event - something I never thought was possible to happen someday (since we all reside in different parts of the World). I do truly hope that someday in the future, we can all have this opportunity again for both Site families to be together.

We took plenty of photos during our meet-up and throughout the entire trip, we're especially looking forward to sharing our group photograph with Anna after her final performance when she emerged from the back doors! Images will be posted (with captions) once we've all returned home.

Unfortunately, David was not present on the final night. But we wanted to thank him for the time he spent with us the day we arrived on January sixth.
